I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Buckley Country Day School and to introduce myself as President of the Parents’ Association. As a parent or guardian of a Buckley student, membership in the Parents’ Association is automatic. The purpose of the Parents’ Association is to support the needs of the Buckley community and assist in the fundraising efforts of the school. Buckley’s amazing faculty, administration and student body set the stage for a premier learning environment. All of these things combined with the enthusiasm and commitment of our families, make Buckley a truly special place!
The Parents’ Association helps to foster this environment through several events, the first of which is the 36th Annual Fall Fair. The three day event kicks off on Friday October 16th with the Preview Party at 7:00 pm at Buckley. This event is a wonderful way to meet other Buckley families and support our school through silent and live auctions. The following two days are filled with carnival rides, food, baked goods, and friends. This year we are expanding the event to include a casino, as well as international food tents, and a new one price “kiddy ticket.” The Parents’ Association has been hard at work during the summer planning a great year!
Furthermore, Buckley welcomes 84 new families to our school community. During the coming weeks, I will contact these families and welcome them personally to our special community.
I look forward to meeting these new friends as well as old friends on Tuesday, September 15th at 9:00 am for the first Parents’ Association meeting of the school year and again on September 22nd for our Fall Fair Meeting. At the meeting we will discuss volunteer opportunities for the Fall Fair and throughout the year. Please attend!
Best Regards,
Linda Toby
Parent's Association President
