Dear Parents,

This weekend is one of Buckley’s most cherished community times, and I look forward to seeing many of you to celebrate our school’s homecoming together. The odds are pretty good that you’ll find me in and around the International Food Tent for a significant portion of the weekend!

On Friday, at 1:15, all of our new students in grades 2-6 and all of our 1st graders will find out whether they are Blue Team members or Red Team members during a ceremony filled with ancient rituals! This is when Buckley students realize there was the time in their lives before they were Red or Blue and then .... the rest of their lives. All are welcome to attend. Students are allowed to wear a red or blue shirt on top of their uniform and/or something red or blue. New students and first graders can wear both colors, of course, since they won't know until 1:15 what their team color is.

On Friday, at 7:00 pm, we will kick off Fall Fair weekend with a Gatsby themed party. There will be plenty of items to bid on, lots of food, and lots of adult fun. This is really meant to be an event for everyone to attend, and we most certainly hope to see you there. The only time you’ll be without children this entire weekend!

Saturday (11:00 AM-6:00 PM) and Sunday (noon - 5:00 PM) is a time for family and friends. There are rides, food, sports games, arts and craft, (Did I mention food?), and everything else an amazing Fair should have. The weather has been ordered accordingly—Sunny in the low to mid 60’s!

The Fall Fair is a friend raiser and a fund raiser. It is meant to combine fellowship and support for our school, children, and teachers.
I hope you will all join us!

See you there.
