Buckley's sixth-grade students played the “Empathy Builders” game during their first weLEAD class this week.
The goal is to work together to build a tower using 18 multicolored blocks following seven basic rules. It was not about winning, but collaborating together to succeed. These types of game-based learning activities help students to develop a stronger understanding of empathy, and encourage them to build a common ground of understanding among their peers.
