Mr. Isaac Neal has taught at Buckley for the past five years. He teaches physical education, health, as well as Mindful Bodies, an Upper School elective class. In addition to being a 5/6 advisor, he also coaches soccer, basketball and lacrosse at Buckley. Mr. Neal is also the
new Dean of Student Life for the Upper School, which involves Advisory, Student Council as well as other leadership opportunities for students here at Buckley. Outside of Buckley, Mr. Neal is the head varsity boy’s lacrosse coach at Port Washington’s Schreiber High School, as well as a program director for Shore2Shore Lacrosse, a non-profit lacrosse club on Long Island. Mr. Neal is also certified in Mindfulness, and enjoys working with students on ways to deal and cope with stress in their daily lives. He is currently a member of the Emerging Leaders Program through the New York State Association of Independent Schools, as well as pursuing a certificate in Advanced Educational Leadership through Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
Mr. Neal graduated from high school from Overland High School in Aurora, Colo. He received his Bachelors' from Hofstra University in Business Marketing. He holds a Master's in Physical and Health Sciences Education from Hofstra University. He has a passion to assist all students in lifelong active learning in athletics and education. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as going to the beach and traveling. He enjoys all sports and loves working with young people on developing a love for athletics as well.
