Dear Parents, Faculty, and Staff,

I am thrilled to announce that at its first meeting of the year, the Board of Trustees of Buckley Country Day School elected Christopher Lee to be our school’s next Chair. Chris Lee will succeed Jerry Bright, who was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2016. I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of our entire community, to express our deep gratitude to Jerry for the strong leadership he provided as Board Chair and to his family for letting us steal much of his time from them.

Chris Lee was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2017 and has served on the Finance Committee since then. He has been instrumental in overseeing the successful implementation of the school’s investment policy and providing critical information to the Board regarding the growth of its endowment.

Chris has been a financial advisor for over twenty years and works at JPMorgan Chase. He currently serves as President of the Board at the Chatham in North Hills and sits on the Board of the Korean-American Youth Foundation. Chris is a graduate of New York University and obtained his MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.

Chris and his wife, Julia, are the proud parents of twin sons, Kyle and Mason ‘22, and daughter, Sophie ‘26.

Please join me in congratulating Chris Lee on his appointment as Buckley’s 30th Board Chair.

Sincerely,

Dr. Juhel
