Buckley Welcomes New Director of Development and Alumni Relations
 
Buckley is thrilled to announce the appointment of Marjorie Jean-Paul as the new Director of Development and Alumni Affairs. For the past 10 years, Marjorie has served as the Director of Development and Alumni Relations at the Waldorf School of Garden City where she had a very successful tenure.  

“We are delighted to have Marjorie join our senior administrative team," said Headmaster Jean-Marc Juhel. "She brings years of experience in fundraising for private independent schools.” 

Prior to joining the senior administrative team at Waldorf, Marjorie was Senior Director at Changing Our World, a fundraising consulting firm which, incidentally, was retained by Buckley at the time of the last capital campaign in 2007. Marjorie was first introduced to Buckley then. Marjorie is a graduate of Cornell University. She also obtained a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management and Organization Development from The New School.

The Development Team

Marjorie Jean-Paul, Director of Development and Alumni, is an experienced fundraising professional with experience working within a corporate and nonprofit settings.  During her professional career, she has raised support for private schools, colleges and universities. Stephanie Long, is the Assistant Director of Development for the Parents' Association and Special Events. Stephanie has been working in the nonprofit sector since 2008, organizing volunteers, managing projects, and writing grants in support of underserved communities and independent schools. For the past three years, Stephanie has been the Development Assistant here at Buckley. Throughout her career, Stephanie has secured grants for a variety of projects, including free concerts and First Aid kits for at-risk youth in Broome County, NY, and a 22,000 square-foot green roof in Rensselaer, NY. Stephanie holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, and is currently working toward her master's degree in nonprofit management at Columbia University.
