Dear Buckley Families, Faculty, and Staff,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents and friends of Buckley who so generously contributed to the 2018 Fall Fair, the school’s 45th! Please know that your gifts of time and resources to our school are deeply appreciated and never taken for granted.
On Friday night (Click here
to view the slideshow) both the silent auction and the live auction were hugely successful. Thank you to Laura Ferrucci and Rochelle Edmonds for overseeing and managing the auction. Auctioneer Topel was amazing, as always, encouraging people to bid on prized items. The Buckley experiences offered by the faculty and staff (Faculty and Staff Experiences.pdf
) were literally priceless. Thank you to our generous teachers and staff! The Taste of Buckley kickoff party was chaired by party planner extraordinaire Megan Tickle who provided the interior design and ambiance for the room along with Linda Gulotta. Fulya Li coordinated the family pennants. Melani Geiger and Ayanna Spurlock-Shackelton took charge of the spectacular class creations while Jacquie Hembrey and Caterina Skenderi sold Golden Tickets. Thank you to Chef Jacek and the kitchen crew for catering an amazing dinner for us.
We could not have wished for better weather on Saturday; Yes, I know, Sunday was a little chilly, although the kids didn’t seem to mind! Thank you to all the parents who cooked, baked, and brought food to Buckley. We had Greek, Italian, Asian, Caribbean, and Polish gourmet food, and grilled-to-perfection burgers, hot dogs, and corn on the cob. All enjoyed petting the animals (Thank you to Lucia Bauknight Sabbagh for chairing the Petting Zoo). Click here
